So as usual, I'll tell 4.0 things I liked about the book and 1.0 thing I didn't like.

So what did I think?

+1 | The concept itself if great. It delves into 12 people who made huge progress in the field of tech, that most people don't know about (I sure didn't - and I study IT!)

+1 | The people in the book were chosen well. All different and unique, yet brilliant in their own way

+1 | It was short and sweet, definitely not boring, and also will include plenty of pictures

+/- 1 | It had humor as an element of the book. Personally I didn't like all the additions and I felt like at times it drew the reader away from the main point - but some were hilarious.

Kept Books, Maybe Pile and Organization

Last weeks post was about unhauling books with a goal of only owning the books I really like and want to reread.
This followup post will delve into my kept books, my maybe pile and how I've organized everything on my shelves.

When it comes to organizing my books I mainly kept them in color order since it's a fast way for me to find a book.

The top row has white to grey to black.

The second row has "colorful" books in rainbow-ish order.
Since they perfectly fit I left it like that, but when there'll be additions I'll start shifting the darker blue books to the top row.

The third row has three sections.
On the left there are my Harry Potters (and three illustrated ones in Finnish)
In the middle there are my classics (collections on the left and others on the right)
Then on the farmost right there's one book that I'm currently reading (technically this is my TBR pile, but I only have that one)

These are located on the top shelf middle-ish, so still on my shelves with the others but slightly indented further.

Spring Cleaning Unhaul

For a long time now, I've wanted to reduce my books to just my favorites which I want to reread so I'v been doing some more unhauling.

Even though I did one last fall, link, where I got rid of around 60 books I did the same this week.

I tried to be tough on myself and not keep books just because they were ok or even good - if I don't want to reread it (or if I don't know if I want to but have it on my kindle) then I got rid of it. Mainly.

So no none of these books are bad, but in my opinion I didn't like them enough to keep.
And yes I've read all of the following books.

Another disclaimer to note is that when it came to classics.
I have most if not all of them on my kindle and therefore I only kept a couple of my favorites.
Even though I've really enjoyed them and think some are great, I know I won't reread them any time soon, and if I want to they're on my kindle.

So as usual, I'll tell 3.0 things I liked about the book and 2.0 thing I didn't like.

So what did I think?

+1 | I'll just say that the author has been extremely imaginative while writing this up!

+1 | The humor was very entertaining

+1 | The way it's written suits the context perfectly

-1 | It was sort of one-sided. At times it felt like only the author was in on the joke and making fun at the other peoples expense.

-1 | I didn't like not knowing how the recipient/participant felt about the whole thing. Maybe if it had included the reaction when the author told it's all for a book?
