Hated Characters

1. Voldemort (from Harry Potter)
- Voldemort was propably the first character I truely hated for not understanding, why he was evil I guess.

2. Count Saint-Germain (from Ruby Red)
- I strongly dislike this fictional character. I do enjoy hating him though, if that makes sense.

3. The Magister (from The Infernal Devices)
- At times when reading these books I wanted to stop and just think how I wanted him to be killed.

4. President Snow (from The Hunger Games)
-This character truely creeped me out. I felt like he was everywhere and nowhere at the same time. I guess he was through the cameras and people working for him.

5. Selia (from Goose Girl)
-I disliked her from the beginning. Even when she was on the good-guys side. She made me angry and hateful toward her even by being nice.

Favorite Books

Favorite book(s)?

This is a tough question that I get asked a lot. And I can't give one title! There are multiple genres and I love some books I love equally and for different reasons. Anyone else get annoyed after hearing this question?

Why am I doing a list then? Yesterday I got asked these questions, once again, and I started thinking, what would they be? Here are some:

Favorite author(s)?

Now this question is even harder! Most people know I love the Harry Potter books and so they ask is she your favorite author? Well no, see a favorite author needs to be one who you love all the books they have written. Someone who when you know they are writing a new book, you pre-order it and wait so exuberantly! And I haven't read the Casual Vacancy and don't really want to right now. And Cuckoos Calling? Haven't read, probably will, but that is not my point. What I'm saying is, this reaction is not how you should feel of a favourite author! Sure the writer of  your favorite books comes close to ths top, but it might only be your favorite book not author.

So what are mine?

Simply I just don't know. I tried making a list and it didn't go well. Like with music I like particular songs all by different singers/bands. Only with some singers I like more than 3 songs by them. So books then? How does one pick a favorite author when they can't even decide on a favorite singer?

So I am sorry to say I don't have an answer for that. Maybe in the future.

Fictional Technology

1. The Infernal Devices
-Everything Henry Branwell made in these books were absolutely great. The ideas and his failures combined really made them special.

2. Etiquette and Espionage
-There is this one device that someone made that could paralize a robot for 5 seconds so that you could get past it and sneak on the ship, I found  that so smart! Andit came quite handy.

3. Hex Hall
-In this trilogy there is a portal that could take you anywhere. Even though the further you went the harder it was for your body I found this to be amazing. I mean who would not like one?

4. Gallagher Girls
-I don't have any one thing for this. More on how I liked the technology over all in this series. Code hacking, trackers, mini microphones and pretty much anything a spy needs.

5. Across the Universe
-The main character and her parents were frozen and stored set to wakeup in a couple of hundred years to help then when th eship lands. This was very smart of them, since they really had to have someone at the end who was in the beginning to oversee everything. I'm not saying anyone should make this, just that for the reason they needed people to be saved was a smart way.

Frozen vs The Snow Queen

Movie vs. Short Story (Pt.1)
Movie adaptation vs. J.C. Anderson's Short Story

You have probably seen (at least heard of) Frozen the know Disney movie. If you haven't go watch it! It is amazingly fantabilous! So, to my point, you might have not known that it was based on Anderson's short story Snow Queen. I read it before I saw the movie so I could compare the twist Disney put on it. I know it is only influenced by this story, but they still had some similarities.

Frozen: This film is about a fearless girl who goes on journey to find her sister, who has trapped the kingdom in everlasting winter with her icy powers. She is accompanied by a mountain man, his pet reindeer and a hapless and helpless snowman who is quite a character.

Snow Queen: (1845) This story is about a girl who is seeking her lost friend. Turns out someone has made an evil mirror showing everything in a bad way. It shattered and pieces flew everywhere on earth and this little girls friend got a piece in his eye and heart turning them bad. Her quest is made harder when she realises he is with the Snow Queen in a foreign place. On the way she encounters crows, a prince, princess and some robbers.

Overall I really liked both of these stories. They both had a girl on a quest in the cold for a loved one. Disney made more of a humoreus job, both then again had the serious note. Frozen has multiple parts which are actually like in Anderson's story, but the twists are what made me fall for Frozen. I adore fairytale retellings as other books and also movie versions on them. The best ones, amongst Frozen, are ones that have only slightly reminders of the original. For example some Cinderella movies can be often too similar to each other, which  frustrates me, just abit, at times. I find it that the creators need to be extra creative with them to make them standout. Which Frozen definetly did, I'm glad to say.

To say which was better, in my opinion, I can't say. They are not that similar to compare in "betterness". Also by the other one being a movie and the other a written story it makes it even harder. To say which I enjoyed more, that'd need to be Frozen. I LoVeD it so much! I laughed (and still do when reminded), and the snowman simply made my day!

Siblings

This one I was quite exited for! I find sibling relations in books to be really lovely since usually the best friend can become the loved one, if you're getting my point... Currently I haven't been reading of any character with siblings and most of the time the siblings don't grow during the books but have only been the annoying little sister/brother. Anyway it is I will now list my favourite ones, and my favourite bonding of siblings.

1. The Weasley children (from Harry Potter)
-My favourite fictional family no doubt! They fool around and tease each other but they also look out for each other.

2. Cath and Wren (from Fangirl)
- Their relationship is unique. They are twins so the book gives light on a lot of positive things but also the not-so-great perks. They have had their lives doing pretty much everything together but now college is at their door and when Wren is leaping to socialise and meet new people Cath would rather stay locked in a room writing FanFixx.On her side the dauntiong journey of college begins.

3. Will and Jem (from the Infernal Devices)
- I know they are not siblings, but they were brought up together and they act like brothers so I'll make this one count. As the Weasley children do Will and Jem drive each other nuts but are still very protective of each other! I love the bits with only them two (sorry Tessa) and seeing how they conquer whatever they want together.

4. Katniss and Prim (from the Hunger Games)
-I am sure you all know how Katniss replaces herself with a chance of getting killed instead of her sister, and so on. Their bonding in these books are tremendously protective, on Katnissess point of view, and love and setting Katniss as a rolemodel, on Prim's view.

5. Meghan and Ethan (from the Iron King)
-The book starts of with Meghans brother (Ethan) dissapearing (leaving behind a fake). During the book Meghan goes of to find him and it all becomes a dangerous quest in a new world. I loved it how she felt the need to constantly be moving towards getting Ethan back safely. She goes through a lot of trouble to find him and... I don't want to spoil anything so go read it!
