Bookish Tattoo Ideas

None of these pictures are mine, all from google, so if any are yours just mail me and I'll delete them. :)

Not that I will be getting one any time soon I saw this really cool tattoo and I thought: huh I should do a post about bookish ones. And so I did. Though this is more of a ramble.

1. Simple book stack or one book that is open- my first thought
2. The Harry Potter triangle thing or the 9 1/3 thing!
3. A popular one has been the glasses and then Harrys scar... that's cute
4. Maurauders map stuff... Like little footsteps or the 'up to no good' thing...
original5. Uuuu or a Doctor Who one!
6. At this moment I decided to google and do research
7. Why am I numbering this stuff...
8.  I love the font! But I don't want it to say always though...
9. Or just one that says something like "Just one more chapter" or "book junkie" or just "chapters" (like books and chapters of your life...)
10. So this was suprisingly more fun than fun. And something different and stuff :)
Any ideas you guys?
Hugs, Sally

My Short Reviews Plan

I've been wanting to do more reviews here but they take time. So I decided to start making some VeRy short ones. Maybe two or three at a time that is. I'm not sure how this is going to go so I'll be asking you guys.

Way 1. Should I make ones that answer always the same 5 questions?
Like did it keep you reading and reading, was the world well thought, did the characters grow during it, writing style, who would I recommend it to and how many stars.

Way 2. Should I write only five sentences and sum the whole thing up. Like what was it about, good things, bad things.

Way 3. Telling amounts of what it had and nothing about what it was about. Like did it have humor, romance, action, friendships...

Or I could swap between them always and do one of each for a post or a couple...
Let me know what you guys think :)
As you know you'll reach me best by Tumblr (written on the side there) or by mail:  Stuff931@gmail.com

Hugs,
Sally

A Book Store I Loved

A Book Store I Loved

As I mentioned in my review for Legend I went to this amazing bookstore in Italy. From further investigation I found pictures online from it and wanted to share my experience there, even though from lack of time I didn't even buy anything.
So I was on my way to Rome I think, and either from where I left or in Rome, the train station had this bookstore.

So here is a picture from there (which I found online):

As you can see it had two floors and the walls were made from glass so you could see everywhere. All the books, if I remember correctly, were in english. There were setions for classics, childrens books, YA, historical, travel guides, and many many more.

I guess what mde this bookstore even more pleasant was the niceness of the staff. I always think that it is important to have them smile and help and make it a place where people can fall in love with books.
Another important thing for bookstores is to make it cozy yet arranged! Too many times I see one which seems cold with strict sections and everything the same, but thenn we also see those which are clusters. From these clusters you can find hideen treasures but not all of us have the time always. So a good in between is my favorite.

Independent bookstores are becoming more and more scarce. And I both wanting to give them money and wanting books I have had on my lists that I can't get from there... It can be a struggle. But I do tend to want to support independent bookstores, don't get me wrong. I just don't do it as often as I'd like. Also the opportunities where I live are limited to pretty much there being none of those bookstores.

Well I need to go so have a lovely week all you lovely people!

Sally

Legend : review

by: Marie Lu

The first time I saw this book it was in this really cool international book store, in a railway station, in Italy! It was one of the most amazing bokstores I had been to! But I needed to catch a trail to Rome, so I ended up buying...nothing. But I did see Legend on my way out. On the train I then went to goodreads and was extremely intrigued. I bought it then on my next trip to England I think.
I was searching to see if I could find any pictures of the bookstore... Maybe I can do a post later?

9275658So what Goodreads says about Legend:
What was once the western United States is now home to the Republic, a nation perpetually at war with its neighbors. Born into an elite family in one of the Republic's wealthiest districts, fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic's highest military circles. Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country's most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem.

From very different worlds, June and Day have no reason to cross paths - until the day June's brother, Metias, is murdered and Day becomes the prime suspect. Caught in the ultimate game of cat and mouse, Day is in a race for his family's survival, while June seeks to avenge Metias's death. But in a shocking turn of events, the two uncover the truth of what has really brought them together, and the sinister lengths their country will go to keep its secrets.

This book has a very high rating of over four stars on goodreadss. So I was wanting to read it even though later on, from buying it, I was getting more and more unsure if the book was for me. So I read it and was pleasantly suprised. so was it a good thign to doubt it and then be pleasantly suprised? Or should I have picked it up immediatly and maybe thought bad of it? Well not the latter I can tell you.

So to the reviewy part. I'll keep this one short. And actually shorter than that since I have a new thing I'll be trying out. Will be coming a post in a few weeks on that as well.
So this book. It didn't wow me, but it did suprise me. Multiple times. There was always something going on and keeping my interest. I loved that about it. But the story line itself was, I don't know how to phrase this. It was slightly I don't know. It was different, which was a good thing. It had romance action, great. It was fiction but no fantasy-e. I guess the thing that it could happen didn't make the best of book for ME that is. I usually don't care about that fact but I guess that stuck to me with this? Maybe, I don't even know.

Sally
